The UGC-NET examination is a national-level test conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) posts in Indian universities and colleges. The December 2024 session of the UGC-NET examination began on January 3, 2025, and was scheduled to conclude on January 16, 2025. UGC-NET Examination Pattern

UGC-NET Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the UGC-NET examination, candidates must meet the following criteria ²:

- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for candidates applying for the Assistant Professor post. However, candidates applying for the JRF post must not be more than 31 years old.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject, with at least 55% marks.

UGC-NET Application Process

The application process for the UGC-NET December 2024 examination began on November 19, 2024, and concluded on December 11, 2024. Candidates were required to submit their applications online, along with the required application fee.

UGC-NET Admit Card

The admit card for the UGC-NET December 2024 examination was released on the official website of the NTA. Candidates were required to download their admit cards and carry them to the examination center.
