IAF Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria ⇧

• Qualification :

  12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.
• Age :

  Between 17½ and 21 years as of January 1, 2024
• Mode of Selection :

  The selection process involves several stages:

  1. Online Registration: Applications are accepted online through the IAF recruitment website until February 26, 2024.
  2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Candidates must qualify in a 1600-meter run, push-ups, sit-ups, and chin-ups.
  3. Written Exam: A computer-based test assessing knowledge in English, Science, Mathematics, and Reasoning.
  4. Adaptability Test II: This test evaluates a candidate's mental and physical abilities, including leadership, teamwork, and communication.
  5. Medical Examination: Candidates undergo a thorough medical examination to ensure physical fitness for military service.

  Mandatory Medical Standards. General Medical Standards are as follows: -

  1. Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms
  2. Chest: The chest should be well proportioned and well developed with the minimum range of expansion of 5 cms.
  3. Weight: Proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.
  4. :. Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
  5. Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
