SAIL Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria ⇧

• Qualification :

  Candidates must possess a Diploma in Engineering in relevant disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, and Instrumentation & Control from a recognized institute.

• Age :

  The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 28 years as on the closing date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for reserved categories.

• Physical Requirements :

  Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards as prescribed by SAIL.

• Mode of Selection :

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a computer-based test (CBT) consisting of 100 objective-type questions. The test will be conducted in Hindi or English and will be divided into two sections:
  • Domain Knowledge (50 questions): This section will test the candidate's knowledge in the relevant technical field as per their diploma specialization.
  • Aptitude Test (50 questions): This section will assess the candidate's reasoning, numerical ability, general awareness, and basic computer skills.
  2. Skill Test: Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be shortlisted for a skill test in the ratio of 1:3 for each post/discipline. The skill test will be conducted to assess the candidate's practical skills and knowledge relevant to the specific OCTT post.

  The application process is entirely online and can be accessed through the official SAIL website: http://sail.co.in/. The online application window opened on February 26, 2024, and will close on March 18, 2024. It is crucial to apply within the stipulated timeframe.

• Admit Card :

• Syllabus and Exam Pattern :

  The detailed syllabus and exam pattern for the CBT will be released by SAIL on its website. However, candidates are advised to refer to general engineering diploma textbooks and previous years' recruitment question papers (if available) to prepare for the domain knowledge section. For the aptitude test section, they can focus on practicing logical reasoning, numerical ability, general awareness, and basic computer skills.

• Exam Dates and Results :

  The exam dates for the CBT will be announced by SAIL after the application window closes. The results of the CBT will be declared on the SAIL website after the exam is conducted. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the date and time of the skill test.
