• Exam Pattern :

  The SSC CHSL Exam consists of three tiers:

  • Tier-1 (Computer Based Test): This online test comprises four sections: Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. It carries 200 marks and has a time limit of 60 minutes.
  • Tier-2 (Descriptive Test): This offline pen-and-paper test assesses writing skills in English or Hindi. Candidates have to write an essay, a letter, and a precis (summary) within 60 minutes.
  • Tier-3 (Skill Test): This skill-based test is applicable only for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO). It assesses typing speed and computer proficiency. It is a qualifying test with a minimum qualifying mark.
• Syllabus :

  • Reasoning Ability: Includes questions on analogies, classification, coding-decoding, blood relations, syllogisms, puzzles, etc.
  • General Awareness: Covers static GK (history, geography, polity, economics, science) and current affairs (national and international).
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Comprises questions on arithmetic (number systems, percentage, averages, ratio & proportion, profit & loss, etc.), algebra (equations, inequalities), geometry (mensuration), and trigonometry (basic concepts).
  • English Language: Tests grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, sentence structure, and basic writing skills.

  • Study Material: Use quality reference books, online resources, and mock tests specifically designed for the SSC CHSL exam.
